Britain opts out. France opts in. America dithers.

The strangest thing happened. Syria poison-gassed it's own people. America said they couldn't do it without penalty. We drew a red line. And another. And another. 

1. And then we told Syria we are going to attack. They said okay. 
2. So we told them how we are going to attack. They replied "go for it". 
3. So we told them what weapons we will use. They said "fine". 
4. So we told them where we would launch our missiles. They said "gee whiz". 
5. So we sent some guided missile destroyers to stand off shore ready to fire. 
6. Our leader person then decided to wait for an allied coalition to join us. 
7. Britain said yes - and then said no. 
8. France said okay, they would be our ally. Apparently that makes it unanimous. 

So America and its allies (The French) will undertake a military mission against Syria - probably a few months after we lose the Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other unsettled and miscellaneous middle eastern wars.
