Sarah Palin - Conservative

It's no surprise that Sarah Palin just came out for the NRA. There are times when Sarah can be brash and abrasive, and there are other times when her facts get mildly skewed. No question. There have even been a few rare times when she stepped beyond her knowledge, but so what.  Sarah Palin is still a high energy, non-stop, common sense Conservative. We need more just like her.  Tom Bolton is another person from the same mold. He too can  be described with the same words. We need more of his ability also. Neither of the two mentioned will ever get the top spot but they will both be influential leaders and voices of the majority.

There is however, a minority within our current government who are doing their best to eliminate  traditional America. They want to reduce or eliminate or control virtually all of our personal freedoms.

Look at just one example:  They purposely overlook the contrary evidence and blame all gun crime and violence on the FREEDOM OF AMERICAN CITIZENS TO OWN GUNS.

These anti-gun people refuse to accept the fact that personal weapons are certainly not the most significant cause of crime, violent or otherwise. There are a lot of Americans living in remore areas on farms, ranches, small villages, places where there is no way to alarm a close neighbor, or no #911 to call for emergency help, or no other readily accessable defense.

The anti-gun folks deny the any need to quickly and ably defend a person's family or others in eminent danger and no other resource. Instead, they attack privately held  weapons by blaming them for all violent and accidental death. Privately held weapons are not guilty. Period.

Let us consider the issue from a different angle, one that includes political input.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt did more to destroy the dreams of the founding fathers than any President before him. He enlarged the government and increased the powers of the executive branch.  He also tried hard to pack the Supreme Court with his ultra-liberal Justices more likely to assist him with his very liberal agenda. Roosevelt stretched the  laws  and added  as much power to the Presidency as possible. He bought new Democrats and voters with subsidies, increasing welfare and forcing tax advantages. The end of the great depression happened on his watch and he took a large share of the credit. The recovery had actually begun long before he took office.  The real impetus for change began when America (finally) joined World War II. Bercause of the war, the public was inclined to give Mr. Roosevelt almost everything he asked for to fight the war. Americans eagerly granted some political slack that allowed him to function as the commander in chief of our military forces. It was the right thing to do.

A hot spot in the Far East soon turned into a bloody civil war. Reluctantly, and with the best of intentions, America tried to diplomatically influence peace. We failed. Our Presidential Administrations, Democrat and Republican, endeavored without success, to end a succession of new wars. We fought, with allies, the "Police Action" in Korea, in Bosnia, Sarajevo, and the former Slovakian Territories. We (finally) joined the long running civil war in Viet Nam, followed by the aggressive and unfinished war in Iraq. And finally, the wars are smoldering in Syria, Iran, and Afghanistan as this is written.

Since about 1945 (the last war we and our allies actually won) America has lost many generations of our future. Obviously "war" isn't working for us or anyone else.

Right now Barack Obama leads our administration.  Others, sympathetic to his views are without exception extremist, ultra liberal, far out left wing government experimenters. They tend to have no satisfactory experience or knowledge of political history. Mr. Obama made a point of selecting committee chairmen, political appointees, cabinet members, and other government officers who are well known to be radical liberals, socialists, and communists. Those that were not were sleazy, inarticulate, and looking forward to and incompetent, lifetime clerical ceiling.

FDR might be proud that another ultra liberal was voted into office - but that's all he'd be proud of. FDR at least was a patriotic American. Mister Obama and his administration exibit little patriotism and have done more damage to America than any other administration in history - including the socialistic liberal FDR administration of years ago.

So, our problems continue.
