Why Hurry

Have you noticed the large number of frantic people that surround you. When you spot an overachiever, tell the following: Dr. Relax got to the delivery room just as the baby came in. The mother, panting and sweating, asked why he didn't arrive on time. She ranted and raved about his inexcusable absence, and went on screaming at his until he finally had enough. The nurse was at another table cleaning up the newborn.

Dr. Relax pointed at the baby and told the mother: "There was no reason to panic or drive on the sidewalk because of too much slow moving traffic. I knew there was a highly qualified team of skilled experts here to help you. Instead of yelling at me, perhaps you should take time to be grateful that your beautiful and healthy baby entered  the world with a cry and smile and hope of a terrific life ahead."

Let's put this in perspective. Saving ten minutes by speeding around and through traffic might have caused an accident that encouraged death to arrive early for someone. Would you have wanted that?"
